Enough has already been said about the misogyny and sexism that have defined the plot of Bollywood movies over the decades, and the damage they have done to ideas of consent and love among Indian youth. Though mindless item songs/atrocious remixes are still touted as the USPs of films, attitudes are changing. For Women’s Day, we decided to make a watch-list of Bollywood movies that celebrated the female agency without objectifying or glorifying the women in question.
